Hear Me Roar

12/5/13

As the Scooter used to say, "Holy Cow!".

That's how we feel about the fall sports season. It was here and all of a sudden it's gone.

Finished. Kaput. Done.

Can you imagine? There's that word again, Imagine, but , yes, that's a previous week's message.

What we are shocked about is...... here we sit on the fortnight of the winter sports season; we have all the crazy feelings and mood swings of what is going to happen before us.

The optimism of a successful winter sports season and a long trek into the post season is all we want from Santa this holiday season. But alas, it's not up to Santa and the Elves or Mrs. Claus.

Who, we ask is responsible for this? Simply, it is up to me.

The ten most powerful two letter words in the world when put together, say this....

If it is to be it is up to me...

Nothing more needs to be said.

If we were the talking heads of the 24 hour news, we would critique, analyze, dissect and proliferate on what all of this means. Here, let me give it to you straight..........

Proper preparation prevents poor performance. Simple, facts. Do the work; be prepared; get it done.

So as we look to the start of the winter sports season and the next to the last week of the 2013 football season we think everyone on this weekend has Katy Perry (Roar) in their head....the promise of a great season that is captured by....

I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire,
Cause I am a champion and you're going to hear me roar.
Louder than a lion
Cause I am a champion and you’re going to hear me roar.

Interscholastic athletics; where we roar each and every day; rrrrrrrroooooaaaaarr!
