The Boys Tennis Coach at York Country Day School is responsible for the planning and directing the conditioning, training, and performance of our student athletes, for our boys tennis program.
This position reports to the Director of Athletics. This coaching position and all of the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of York Country Day School and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA). ?
The following list provides examples of the most typical duties for our Boys Tennis Coach at York Country Day School:

  • Assisting with monitoring and maintain the discipline and conduct of student athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics program.
  • Plan and coaching practice sessions.  Arrive before the boys to practice and all bus trips.
  • Coach team members individually and in groups, and demonstrate match techniques.
  • Assist in developing and implement match strategy and assignments.
  • Assist in the strength and conditioning programs for student athletes.
  • Ensure adherence to all PIAA and York Country Day School rules and regulations/policies.
  • Be a mentor, both in tennis and life.
  • Build positive relationships with all members of the York Country Day School community, including students, faculty, administration, parents and alumni.
  • Build a program that's goal is to give our students an experience that they will take with them for the rest of their lives.


Experienced Varsity tennis coach preferred, but not required.

OLSH High School, located in Moon Twp., PA (near Coraopolis) seeks to fill the position of Head Coach in charge of the Boys and Girls Varsity Track Teams.
Candidates will need all clearances as required by the Diocese of Pittsburgh and the State of Pennsylvania.   All employment requirements can be located on the OLSH school website (
Candidates should be well versed in the strategies associated with all track and field events, the management of high school athletes, and fostering positive communication and ongoing evaluations of said athletes.  The Head Coach is also in charge of recommending and managing a staff of assistant coaches.  The Head Coach needs to be willing to accept the challenge of administering a track program that currently does not have on site track facilities.  Additionally, the Head Coach should be able to foster positive communication and relationships with athletic parents, and be willing to work with school administration, school communications, and the Athletic Director to help promote the Felician Core Values of our school.  Also included is the need to promote sportsmanship towards each other and our opponents, and competitiveness within the program both on the field and in the classroom.  Previous coaching experience is preferred.

Football-Head Coach
Big Spring School District is seeking a Head Football Coach for the 2019 season. Teaching positions are available to qualified candidates. Big Spring a member of the Mid-Penn Conference and is a 4A program. 
Basic Function
            The Head coach must be a competent teacher of the fundamentals as well as the fine points of football and conditioning.  To build strong men, morally, physically and mentally.  To provide competent general supervision and guidance.  To reflect the philosophy of the school in their program.

  • Encourage and support athletes to participate in other sports.
  • Ensure pre-season, as well as off-season, conditioning and skill development activities for an upcoming sport comply with PIAA rules, regulations, and by-laws.
  • The selection and supervision of assistant coaches their specific duties, explain those duties, and supervise their work and make yearly suggestions to Athletic Director.
  • Conduct a pre-season meeting for the athletes and parents of athletes trying out for that sport.
  • Have individual post-season meetings with your athletes and parents.
  • Be a great communicator and motivator of student athletes.
  • Have exceptional organizational skills and be detailed with all components of the program.
