ATHLETIC DIRECTOR – The Downingtown Area School District is seeking a dynamic individual for the administration of athletics in Chester County’s largest school district.  DASD provides educational services for approximately 13,000 students with a wide variety of extracurricular opportunities.  The A.D. will oversee all athletic activities throughout the entire district.  Duties include oversight of the athletic program for our two nationally ranked high schools, coordination with the middle level athletic programs, student athlete academic eligibility, game schedules, transportation, budget, recruitment and selection of coaches, oversight at events which includes evening and weekend hours.   • Assist with monitoring and maintaining the discipline and conduct of student athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics program.
  • Assist in planning and coaching practice sessions.
  • Coach team members individually and in groups, and demonstrate game techniques.
  • Assist in developing and implementing game strategy and position assignments.
  • Assist in the strength and conditioning programs for student athletes.
