Notes: The 2009 PIAA Swimming and Diving Championships saw record crowds converge on Bucknell University for the four day event. The crowds were treated to the fastest meet in history, seeing 22 of the 44 records fall in the swim events.

Oakland Catholic - The District 7 power did not capture gold in a single event at the Championships this year, but their depth garnered the overall championship by compiling 181 points to outdistance District 7 neighbor Shady Side Academy by 30 points. Oakland Catholic medaled in 7 events while placing 6 times in the consolations. All four entries in the 500 free generated points for the Eagles.

Hershey - The Trojans from District 3 were dominant in the chase of AA Boys' Gold. Hershey won the 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay and the 400 Free Relay in route to their 269 point total. That point total easily outdistanced runner-up Bloomsburg (D. 4) with 160.5 points. In addition to the relays, Hershey's David Nolan topped the medal stand on two occasions by winning the 200IM and 100 yard backstroke.

Emmaus - The Hornets maintained their prominence in the pool racking up 237 points over the two-day AAA event. It was not an easy victory, with District 1 Souderton close on the heels at 212.5 points. Pacing Emmaus were the Champion 200 Medley Relay and Mike Masciantonio, champion in the 200 Yard IM.

North Allegheny - The Tigers (District 7) racked up 243 points on their way to a Championship. The contingent from Emmaus (District 11) on the boys' side finished in second with 208 team points. Connor Kuremsky dove to gold for the Tigers racking up 541.5 points while Tigers swimmers advanced to the podium on 12 occasions.

Reynolds - The District 10 Champion entered the weekend with am impressive 19-0 dual meet record. That undefeated record remained intact as Reynolds rolled to impressive 43-9, 45-9, and 42-18 victories in route to the championship. Those victories were over Bermudian Springs (D. 3), Westmont hilltop (D. 6) and Shady Side Academy (D. 7), respectively. This is the third Dual Meet Championship for Reynolds (2006 & 2007) in the 11 year history of the event.

Central Dauphin - The Rams maintained their place at the top of the AAA classification by defending their Team Title of 2008. This marks the fourth consecutive team title for Central Dauphin if the individual championship team point standings are included in the run. The Rams won the 2007 Individual Overall Team Championship, the 2008 Dual Meet and Individual Championships, and now the 2009 Dual Meet Championship. CD defeated Connellsville (D. 7) 53-13, Northampton (D. 11) 31-28, and fellow District 3 team Cumberland Valley 34-30 to claim the title.
