2023 PIAA FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS SET TO KICK OFF THURSDAY
AT CHAPMAN FIELD, CUMBERLAND VALLEY SD

The 2023 PIAA Football Championships will kick off this weekend with all six championship games at Chapman Field on the campus of Cumberland Valley School District in Mechanicsburg, PA.  This is the second year Chapman Field has served as host for the PIAA Football Championships.

Action gets underway on Thursday, December 7 with two games which include undefeated teams, with the Class 1A final at 1:10 pm, featuring Fort Cherry (15-0) vs. Steelton-Highspire (15-0).  Thursday’s championship games will conclude with the Class 4A final at 7:10 pm, with Aliquippa (13-0) vs. Dallas (15-0).

On Friday, December 8, the Class 2A final at 1:10 pm kicks off with a rematch of the 2022 championship final with Westinghouse (13-0) vs. Southern Columbia (14-1).  The Class 5A evening final, also at 7:10 pm, with feature Peters Township (15-0) vs. Imhotep Charter (14-0).

On Saturday, December 9, the Class 3A final will commence at 1:10 pm, matching Belle Vernon (12-1) vs. Northwestern Lehigh (15-0).  The championships conclude at 7:10 pm, with the Class 6A final featuring North Allegheny (13-1) vs. St. Joseph’s Prep (12-1).
