The PIAA Board of Directors approved the recommendation of the Competitive Spirit Steering Committee to establish a defined regular season in the sport of competitive spirit. The defined regular season will begin with the start of fall sports and conclude at the end of the winter sports championships (March 25, 2017). The PIAA Defined Season is the period in which schools may participate in competitions.

Tryouts, practices after tryouts, attending/receiving summer instruction from an outside source (key to the safety of our cheer programs) and practices prior to the start of fall sports IS NOT restricted by this Defined Regular Season.
