2012 PIAA OFFICIALS'CONVENTION

PIAA is proud to announce the 2012 Officials' Convention will be hosted by the Harrisburg Hilton and Towers, One North Second Street, Harrisburg, PA. The 18th Annual PIAA Officials' Convention will be held on Friday and Saturday, August 3rd and 4th, 2012. This move was precipitated by the large turnout of officials over the past few years and the need to accommodate more attendees in meeting space and housing.

Dr. Robert A. Lombardi, PIAA Associate Executive Director, stated, "We are looking forward to our return to downtown Harrisburg and the Hilton, where we first started our convention 18 years ago. With Hilton's leadership of Joe Massaro and Cynthia Ortega, we know we will have a successful and very fulfilling convention".

This year's convention will mark the 18th year of hosting continuing education and in-service training for registered sports' officials. Officials need to have attended a convention in 2008 or later to receive consideration for a post-season assignment in the upcoming 2012-13 sports seasons.

Mark your calendars now and please take time from your personal schedules to attend this year's convention. In February, the Hilton will be posting a webpage to handle on line housing requests and directions to their property.
