Competitive Cheer is Here!!

Well, the time has come and we are all looking forward to it. Tomorrow, Saturday, February 2, 2013. Do you know what significance this day holds?

Did I hear someone say, Groundhog Day? No. That's not it.

Maybe, the Chocolate Fest in Hershey. No, it may be the sweetest place on earth, but that's not it, even though the routines may be sweet.

Saturday is the day of the first ever PIAA Competitive Cheer Championship and it promises to be a great day. We have 96 teams with an average of 20 girls per team participating. That's 1920 students at the same venue competing for a state championship in three different divisions. How awesome is that?

So, if you're looking for something to do. Come on over to Hershey and see some tremendous performances by these teams. You'll be thoroughly impressed. What may impress you even more is the outstanding display of good sportsmanship that will be demonstrated by these schools and their teams.

They will compete intensely for a championship with exquisite precision in intricate routines that have been choreographed and practiced for months. Their smiles and energy will be off the charts with so much enthusiasm that it will be contagious.

We wish all teams the best of luck in their quest for a PIAA championship and thank them for their participation in the first ever PIAA Competitive Cheer Championships.

High school athletics: great performances are made here.
