2009 PIAA Boys' Volleyball Championships
(week of May 31, 2009)

Ambridge High School AA Boys' Champion	Central Dauphin High School AAA Boys' Champion

Notes: First time champions were crowned in both classifications as Ambridge (D. 7) and Central Dauphin (D. 3) took the AA & AAA Championships, respectively.

The Bridgers, returning to the championship contest for the second consecutive year, left the Penn State Multisport Facility as champions having defeated Maplewood (D. 10) 3-0 by scores of 25-15, 25-10, and 25-19. The Rams of Central Dauphin were first time finalists and first time champions, defeating Penn Hills (D. 7) 3-2. Scores of the five set marathon were 21-25, 25-22, 25-22, 18-25, and 15-13.

This was the second consectuive year the Penn State Multisport Indoor Facility served as host of the PIAA Boys' Volleyball Championships.

2009 PIAA Boys' Team Tennis Championships
(week of May 17, 2009)

Wyomissing High School AA Champion	North Allegheny High School AAA Champion

Notes: The 2009 PIAA Boys' Team Tennis Championships were recently contested at Hershey Racquet Club, Hershey, PA. Prevailing after the two-day event is first time winner Wyomissing (D. 3) over Harriton (D. 1) in AA and second time champion North Allegheny (D. 7) over Council Rock No. (D. 1) in AAA competition. North Allegheny last won the AAA championship in 2005.
